19 Quick and Easy Recipes

Hey there! Have you ever wondered what to cook when you have about an hour?

Well, this list of fast and easy recipes is for you. These are the most straightforward recipes imaginable, but they're still primarily healthy too.

How to Cook Fast Food in Just 30 Minutes

1. Omelette is probably the easiest and most delicious dish you can make if you want something quick for dinner. All you need is a few eggs, milk, cheese, salt and pepper. It's healthier than most fast food that you can find at restaurants. To make it, beat the eggs in a bowl until fluffy.

I made this recipe with a few easy changes to the original recipe. I changed the tomato sauce to a fresh red chili, garlic and onion sauce and added half a chopped capsicum and some beef mince into the mix.

3. Curried Cod – This dish has a spicy and tangy flavor, which tastes relatively mild. You'll need cod fillets, red chilies, garlic cloves, a small onion chopped finely and a few tablespoons of currants. Cook the onions until soft, and then add the cod fillets to cook for about five minutes on each side in some oil or butter. Now add in the spices you have chosen - I used three teaspoons of curry powder for this recipe - along with the currants to soak up all that lovely flavor from your kitchen.

For my version, I added some brown rice to make my dish more filling, although this isn't 100% necessary if you are at home alone or don't want carbs tonight.

4. Crispy Tofu - This is a delicious and nutritious dish that warms you up inside and out. It combines soy sauce, honey, lemon juice and sesame oil along with soft tofu to create an appetizing dish that goes great with steamed veggies as well as some rice! It's also low in fat, high in protein and easy to make. You'll need around a thirty-minute time frame to cook this one, so don't be put off by the time it takes!

I'm about to share the recipe for crispy tofu coated in a mixture of soy sauce, lemon juice, honey and sesame oil. The most important step right at the beginning of the making process is frying the tofu until golden brown. You could probably get away with just soft or medium tofu for this recipe, but I like to use extra firm tofu because it comes out perfect.

6. Couscous with Vegetables – This is a straightforward and tasty dish that's very healthy too! It has all of the goodness you'd expect, such as carrots, celery and courgettes along with couscous and some chicken, but without any meat products.

Mushrooms are the fruiting body of a fungus and come in many shapes and sizes. They can be found, for instance, on tree trunks or logs (such as pine mushrooms), growing underground or attached to the roots of trees (fungi mycorrhizae), and they also thrive on the soil.

They are associated with a wide variety of beneficial qualities. In some cultures, mushrooms have been used as folk remedies to treat infections and fever, while in others, they have been considered sacred animals since prehistoric times. Today some research is being done into their possible medicinal use, including using them to fight cancers such as nasopharyngeal cancer
